It is amazing to see how many South African individuals and companies have made donations and have volunteered to help victims of the contemptible xenophobic attacks. However there are still thousands of displaced people who desperately need medical attention, shelter and food. There are numerous articles and blog posts circulating with information about how you can help. A great place to start is on the United for Africa website. Here are a few other really informative articles to point you in the right direction:

The Talk Radio 702 Website lists over 40 organisations and drop off points around South Africa which you can contact if you want to help.
• An article in The Times provides contact details of organisations who are providing assistance
• For those of you that live in Cape Town, the Cape Times provided a really comprehensive list on 27 May 2008. Click here to read this article (subscribers only).
The For Good website also has a list of organisations to contact if you would like to help, a list of places to drop off donations in Johannesburg and 11 “ideas for action” to work towards eradicating these violent attacks.

Feel free to add links to other lists or organisations or leave tips about how we can all do our bit to alleviate the situation.
