His suggestion is: “I would suggest maybe, advertising on your website the top ten or so frequently complained about industries within South Africa. Not necessarily giving out the names of the companies but for example Marketing, Hospitality etc. It would be interesting to see how many people complain about the same thing. Another idea could be to display with the permission of the company concerned the success story behind fixing a certain problem area within a company that offers particular services. Because at the end of the day, this website is here to raise the standards that are on offer more importantly for South Africans”.
We’re really happy with the feedback we’ve received and are in the process of implementing some of the suggestions. One suggestion which has come up a couple of times is to provide access to all complaints and supplier responses. The reason that we don’t have this on display is that we want to facilitate discreet resolution. Our experience is that if your complaint is delivered to the appropriate person at the supplier organisation then you will usually get closure on your complaint. The feedback we are getting from hundreds of consumers using getclosure! is that more than two thirds of them are satisfied or better with the outcome of their complaint. We think this is a really positive indication that suppliers are making a concerted effort to improve the way in which they handle complaints.
We are also delighted that the average rating of our website is 8 out of 10 at this stage of the competition! A couple of other great stats which you might like to know are:

getclosure! now offers a seal that allows its subscribers to publicise their commitment to great service. (Have a look at the one on display on the left hand side of our website – don’t you think it’s quite catchy?) Subscribers can display the seal wherever they want on their website with a CTA that encourages customers who have not received good service to click on the seal and submit a complaint. We have had some really positive feedback already so hopefully you’ll be seeing these little wax seals dotted around a number of websites soon!
