This week I’m interviewing Richard, a passionate and dynamic member of our team who manages the day-to-day operations of getclosure! Although he has only been in the industry for 18 months, his insight and maturity has enabled him to play a significant role in the growth of the company thus far.

A little bit about getclosure!:

What is your position at getclosure!

That’s a tricky one! No official title but I am the head of operations and sales.

What does your average work day entail?

My priority is keeping our subscribers satisfied with the service we provide, followed closely by signing on new subscribers. I also spend lots of time taking a close look at the getclosure! user interface from a consumer’s point of view. I constantly try to think of new ways to make submitting a complaint or compliment more efficient and make the website as a whole more user friendly.

What do you consider to be the getclosure!’s greatest achievement to date?

There have been so many but I think the greatest achievement is putting together such a phenomenal team of people to get this business off the ground and into a position where we are receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from consumers and suppliers.

What are the 5 things that you enjoy most about getclosure!?

  1. Working with the getclosure! team
  2. Being thrown into the deep end at least 3 times a day
  3. Wondering how I am going to get out the deep end
  4. Getting out of the deep end
  5. Learning so much on a daily basis

On a more personal note:

  • When I was growing up I wanted to…be the president
  • My favourite place in the world is… too many physical locations so I’m going to have to say my favourite place in the world is “a happy state of mind”
  • I always smile when… I see babies smiling
  • If there is an extra hour in my day… I do something that takes me out of my comfort zone
  • I am inspired by… brilliance and beauty
  • My mind works best when… I am under pressure
  • The highlight of my working life was… signing the first getclosure! subscriber
  • My greatest achievement to date… I still have most of my career to look forward to but I would have to say my greatest achievement to date would be getting and keeping this job. There are some brilliant minds behind getclosure!, working with them and having an input in the overall direction of the business is something I consider to be special
  • My motto in life is… if you want something never give up
