		<description>Yes in fact that&#039;s true. While touted as a means to protect the consumer, the NCA in fact only protects the credit provider.. including those unscrupulous ones. Take the case of Rudco - registered with the NCR and then allowed to take millions of consumer rands IN ADVANCE for consolidation loans that were never paid out. They rapped him over the knuckles and shut him down, but long before the Scorpions (R.I.P) arrived to grab his paperwork, he had disappeared. Along with everyone&#039;s money of course. The case was handed to a liquidation firm who to my knowledge have not yet contacted all the complainants (2 years down the line)and have not to my knowledge advertised or notified those affected of anything pertinent to the case. Appalling. Just try calling the NCR about that one. You&#039;ll get nowhere. They do NOT serve or protect the consumer in any way.
They do however give the banks a real leg-up.
The detail is too long for this blog, but I for one believe the NCA is unconstitutional and should be challenged at the level of that court.</description>
