Are you looking for a place to stay these holidays; somewhere where you can unwind and enjoy excellent service? The National Geographic Adventure magazine has rated three of South Africa’s ecolodges in the top 50 in the world – a rather impressive achievement for the country’s travel and tourism industry.

These three ecolodges have been commended for their superb customer service and friendly staff, and have been rated as nothing less than excellent by their guests.

According to the National Geographic Adventure website, ecolodges not only provide luxury and the highest quality of service for its guests, but also support local communities, keep their visitors connected to culture, create effective conservation initiatives and place a sense of adventure at the heart of its activities. A Sunday Times newspaper report says that ecolodges should also aim to respect local traditions and minimise disruption to the environment.

Below are links to the three South African ecolodges which made the top 50 list:

The Bushman’s Kloof Wilderness Reserve in the Western Cape, is a five-star luxury retreat situated at the foot of the Cederberg Mountains.
