As of 23 July 2009 fast, cheap and high capacity Internet finally became available in South Africa! You may have noticed an increase in road works recently, which was most likely the installation of the Seacom cable which will increase the country’s Internet speed and access thirty-fold. However, we may not see drastic changes in price and speed for a while.

This is good news for both consumers and businesses, and is extremely important in light of the 2010 Soccer World Cup. However, it is hoped that the Internet in the country will continue to grow past next year.
