What do you do when you want to buy a house or a car, and for whatever reason, are denied credit? Consumers are being warned to stay away from companies who promise you that they can clear your credit history for you and “get you off the blacklist”. These companies are scammers; because one thing’s for sure, there is no quick fix when it comes to solving credit problems.

The good news is that the Credit Information Ombud (CIO) is aware of these scams, and is offering to help consumers repair their credit history and give their advice free of charge. Whilst this process may be lengthy, consumers will save themselves a lot of money and hassle in the long run by using a trustworthy service.

The CIO provides consumers with step-by-step guidelines on how to go about repairing their credit history. You can read more information about the CIO by clicking here.
