Do you find that you have too many clothes in your wardrobe? If you give it some thought you’ll probably find a couple of things that you’ve only worn once, or that you could have worn before the last doughnut craving (but sadly can’t squeeze into anymore), or something that is so last season you simply cannot be see wearing it in public.
The good news is that you can now earn a few bucks for those gently worn items you no longer want or wear at “Rewardwobe”, and enjoy the cleansing process of sorting through your wardrobe at the same time! If any of these clothes do not meet the standards of reselling, they can be kept separately for the charity box.
If you would like the clothing you no longer wear to earn you some cash, follow these steps.
Declutter – Sort out your wardrobe and separate the regularly worn clothes from those that haven’t seen the light in the past 6 months.
Yay or nay – Separate them in two piles. Those that can be received after a wash and iron, and those that can’t. Those that can’t will go into the charity box.
Charity Calls – Should you not have someone in mind to give these to, Rewardrobe has a clothing charity bin that donates clothing to a different cause each sale.
Freshen up – The other pile needs to be prepped for the Rewardobe rails. Wash iron and fold or hang these clothes to get them ready for a new home.
Price me please – Complete the stock inventory form which can be found on the Rewardrobe website www.rewardrobe.co.za. Rewardrobe charge 40% commission on the selling price. No admin fee or other costs will be deducted. Email a copy of your completed form to hello@rewardrobe.co.za. Drop your load of neatly hung or folded garments, along with a printed copy of the form, at one of the sales.
After 4 sales you will get your first payment. If clothes didn’t sell they will halve the price to ensure that it gets sold.
Come shop or drop or do both from Mondays to Saturdays at the brand new Rewardrobe shop that will open on 89 Sir Lowry Road, Cape Town on the 3rd of November 2009.
