After months of delays and deliberations, Icasa unveiled its draft regulations regarding the cut in interconnection rates today. It proposes to decrease cell phone interconnection rates by 27% in July 2010, from 89c per minute to 65c.
Icasa also announced that there would be two further cuts, to 50c in July 2011 and 40c in July 2012.
The regulations will be made publicly available on Friday, and will also be gazetted in parliament. Read more on Fin24.com
