Banking fees are one of those monthly expenses that we all love to hate, as they tend to be so costly at times. FNB has come to the rescue by bringing their customers a service that will make banking a little bit cheaper, if used correctly.
FNB recently launched a service called small message service (SMS), to help customers properly manage their banking transactions and save them money at the same time. The idea around this service is to improve customer education around banking fees.
Pieter du Toit , CEO of FNB Smart Product House, says: “This service is a great way of keeping in touch with our customers and showing them that we are a caring bank that is concerned with their financial wellbeing. The objective is to play an active role in helping our customers to make smart decisions that makes their lives easier.”
To make use of this SMS service, you need to be registered with In-Contact, which is the service that notifies you of activity happening on your account. Thereafter, FNB will monitor your account and notify you via sms on how to better your transaction methods when using their banking service.
