Cloned Cars

Earlier this year we brought you the story of doppelganger cars and how easy it was to illegally buy duplicate number plates. Now, scamsters have upped their game and are cloning legitimate identical vehicles, which they then sell to unsuspecting consumers as second hand. Although authorities and finance institutions are aware of the scam, they seem unable to stop it. Carte Blanche Consumer follows the trail of those involved.
