getclosure! has had an exciting year with lots of new developments and a couple of new employees which we’ve interviewed on the blog over the past few months.  In this post I’d like to welcome Bridget Kwinda, who has fitted in seamlessly and is a great addition to our team.

What is your role at getclosure?

I am a Researcher, currently conducting Quantitative Research work for various Online Reputation Management projects.

What do you enjoy most about your position so far?

It has been interesting to learn that social media can play such a vital role for companies, their products and for promoting different brands. I was one of those people who saw social media strictly as a forum to reconnect with friends and family before I joined getclosure.

What did you do before joining the getclosure team?

I worked as a Project Officer for an SMME, whose core service is web development and graphic design.

What constitutes good customer service in your opinion?

I believe that every customer wants to feel special when they seek the services of a supplier. It is the staff of a company who is the key component in ensuring that the customers keep coming back. I believe staff that are well trained, meaning, staff who are knowledgeable, professional at all times, motivated and who fully understand the industry in which they operate, are the key to good customer service.

Where have you experienced great customer service recently?

There have been a number of places, but Exclusive Books in Cavendish and Musica in Blue Route Tokia are definitely top of my list. There was a book I wanted which Exclusive Books did not have at the time, they ordered the book for me and kept me posted on the progress of my request. The staff are also very knowledgeable on a variety of topics.

Do you think that the general standard of customer service in South Africa is improving?

Yes, definitely it has. There are still some companies that have to really up their game though.

What is your favourite brand and why?

Environ, it’s South African and it’s found in most beauty salons.

What brands do you interact with on social media platforms?

I enjoy interacting with the magazines, such as Cosmo and Destiny; I enjoy the articles and competitions.

What is your favourite social media platform and why?

It’s definitely Facebook, I have a number of friends who live abroad, and I am able to keep in touch with them at all times.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I read, read, and read, listening to music and run around after my kids!

What is your motto in life?

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
