The getclosure! blog has been created to increase consumer awareness and stimulate debate about relevant consumer issues and service delivery in South Africa. Blog posts will focus on the crucial roles played by various remedy providers, topical consumer awareness issues, consumer news updates and a tip of the week.
getclosure! is an independent online complaints management portal which facilitates the effective resolution of genuine complaints.
getclosure! sets up a discreet line of communication between consumers and suppliers to manage the complaint handling process. This service is available at no cost to consumers.
4 key ways in which getclosure! assists consumers:
- Deliver each complaint to an appropriate person in the supplier organisation.
- Follow up with the supplier to get a response to the complaint.
- Identify remedy providers willing to address unresolved complaints.
- Provide information on consumer rights and remedies.
How getclosure! assists suppliers:
- Create an opportunity to address customers’ complaints without attracting negative publicity.
- Maintain a complete record of the complaint correspondence.
- Provide valuable management information in a user-friendly format.
- Collect and deliver complaints that have not been captured by the supplier’s own complaint handling process.
Surveys indicate that 60% to 75% of customers who complain to a supplier about a product or service will use it again if their complaint has been resolved and 95% will do so if the complaint was resolved quickly.
getclosure! was conceived, financed and developed by four entrepreneurs with wide experience in dispute avoidance and resolution, IT and investment banking. The day-to-day operations of the business are managed by a small team of dedicated South Africans who are passionate about the service they deliver. This team is led by Brian Pitt (IT), Richard Wright (Sales and Operations), Funiwe Mtshazo (Consumer and Supplier Support) and Emma Donovan (Content).
